The Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024 has been gaining attention as the inaugural edition of the country’s T20 cricket league. Organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal, the tournament features eight teams, including the Lumbini Lions, Janakpur Bolts, and Kathmandu Gurkhas, among others. All matches are held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Notable performances include Lumbini Lions’ Rohit Paudel leading the run-scoring charts with 181 runs in four matches. International players like Shikhar Dhawan (Karnali Yaks), Martin Guptill (Biratnagar Kings), and James Neesham (Janakpur Bolts) have also added global appeal to the league.
